Survival Sack Packing: We packed 108 Sacks in record time thanks to the good turn-out of volunteers. We had people who return to help each year, others new to the packing, and our ever-faithful Scouts. Items were brought that we can use next year, including a large number of first aid kits and lip balms from a medical facility that had changed vendors.
Survival Sack Collections: They’ll be in April, July, and October. A Roadmap has been submitted telling people that and saying that donations can be made anytime at the parish office.
Issue for 2023: The uncertainty of Covid makes planning activities hard this year, so we’ll do what we can to promote social justice without focusing on a single issue.
Movie Nights: We need to advertise better. We’ll ask for pulpit announcements and inclusion in the pastor’s online newsletter. Maybe we can have signs and handouts at the monthly Knights’ breakfast just before the first movie night. If so, we need to have our movies chosen in time to prepare materials for the June breakfast.
Other Activities: A group to go together to volunteer. Where? Jackie will check with Lynda DeManti, who is advertising volunteering to sort food for Catholic Charities. Next meeting we’ll try to pinpoint other possible charities. Other activities to be discussed at our next meeting.
