"You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh ; rather, serve one another humbly in love." (Galatians 5:13)
When you generously respond to the needs of others, your children learn to be generous. They learn that families serve not only their own needs but also others who are in need. By reaching out to those in need, children learn to recognize Jesus in all people. Children can also learn what it means to act justly by treating others with respect; by fighting against poverty, illiteracy, and homelessness; and by taking a stand against racism and discrimination.
