Knights are holding a drive for food and winter items for the homeless before and after this weekend’s Masses. They are doing “contact-free” collection of needed non-perishable food and items for the homeless for our St. Vincent de Paul group to give away. Bring food and homeless items in separate bags. The Knights will have boxes that you can drop your donations in. If you want to donate in the drive-thru communion line, please put your items in the trunk and let the Knight in attendance know so he can retrieve them from your trunk. Thank you for donating and helping those in our community who need help during this ongoing COVID time. See below for items that are most needed. Homeless items needed, we can not accept used items: gloves, socks, hand warmers and ponchos. Masks and hand sanitizers are also welcome. Food items needed, “individual size” only (not industrial or “family size” containers): cereal, peanut butter, jelly, spaghetti sauce, dried beans & rice (1 & 2 lb. bags) and fruit. Also, the homeless appreciate meals (like chili or ravioli) in “pop-top” cans. Items we have an overflow of, no need to donate these for now: tuna, veggies, soup, canned beans & pasta.
