Sunday, April 23, 2017, 1:30 PM - 4:00 PM
April 23, 2017 is Mercy Sunday. The devotion to Jesus as "The Divine Mercy" is based on the writings of St. Faustina, a Polish nun who wrote a diary recording the revelations she received about God's mercy. The devotion was actively promoted by Pope John Paul II. On April 30, 2000, the Canonization of Faustina Kowalska took place and the Sunday after Easter was officially designated as the Sunday of the Divine Mercy.
All are invited to celebrate Divine Mercy with us at our regular masses as well as these special events:
Confessions from 1:30-2:30pm,
Chaplet of Divine Mercy at 2:40,
and Mass at 3:00pm.
