Interested in computer programming lessons?
One of our youth, Samuel, is offering to teach Java courses for interested youth, for FREE!
"At the end of this class, participants will be comfortable to take advanced Computer Science classes or learn advanced java and other programming languages on their own.Target Audience:
Students entering 8th grade and above. No prior programming knowledge required, but familiarity with a programming language will be an added advantage"
Dates :
July 20 to July 24 from 1pm to 4pm Pacific Time

July 27 to July 31 from 1pm to 4pm Pacific Time

That is why in the midst of chaos and uncertainty, the EDGE and Life Teen Core teams remain committed to journeying with youth as mentors and roles models in the Faith--helping them discover God's plan in their lives.
We are hard at work planning for the year ahead, and although plans may need to change or adjust, our faith in Christ and in the young Church remain strong. Thanks to the awesome efforts of Core members Elena-Grace & Nick, Holy Family now has a Youth Group server for the middle schoolers & high schoolers!
Discord is a platform that allows members to communicate over voice, video, & messages. There are different channels with a theme for the content (i.e. questions, announcements, art).
This is a GREAT way for the youth to all stay connected & message one another any time & any day! Once you have created a Discord account, use this link to join the server (link will not expire).Girls' Summer Bible Study
Core members Colleen & Maria Bateman are starting a girls' summer bible group called "Sister Scripture Squad" for incoming 9th graders to outgoing 12th graders! Join us to grow in faith & friendship with your community! Our first Zoom gathering will be held on June 23rd at 7:00pm. Weekly Zoom gatherings will be held on Tuesdays from 7:00pm to 8:30pm.

Holy Family prides itself in not only our zealous youth participants, but in our engaging and hands-on core team members. As of right now, we are super blessed to welcome in 5 brand new EDGE Core members and 1 Life Teen Core Member to the team, woohoo! Applications for the 2020-2021 youth ministry year continue to be open!
Are you looking to become more involved in the church? Is someone you know interested? Holy Family youth ministry is an exciting and fun way to engage and build the young leaders of the Church.
Worried you don't have what it takes? Never fear! New accepted core members will undergo training along with the rest of the core team to fine tune and hone their skills in a way that works best with their strengths. Our current core team is also here to support and help you. We got your back!

"In regards to resuming our public Masses, after consulting with our Pastoral Advisory Committee and parish staff in accordance with the chancery and directives from the Health Department, the following will be implemented until further notice:
Our daily Mass will continue to be live-streamed at 8AM Monday - Saturday beginning Monday June 15th.
Vigil Mass will continue be live-streamed on Saturday at 5:30pm. Drive thru confession is from 3:30pm - 4:30pm every Saturday.
Beginning July 5th, Sunday Masses (8AM, 9:30AM, 11:15AM & 6PM) will be held outside of our Church (25 people max, without music). RSVP's will soon be available on our website. Please wear your mask and bring your own chair.
Also, beginning Sunday June 21st those who have attended Mass via live-stream prior, may come to receive Communion (drive thru fashion) in our parking lot from 5:30PM- 5:45PM every Sunday.
Please be informed that our Bishop Oscar Cantú continues to dispense all the faithful from attending Mass. All are encouraged to participate via live-streamed Mass."Major changes underway for the Youth Lounge...
We'll have much more to share in the coming weeks as we re-vision our gathering space for youth during the week. In the meantime, is your household looking to donate some cool-looking and gently-used furniture or interactive games? Or is your household interested in financially sponsoring some new furniture? If so, let's talk!
The youth lounge is a dedicated space in the Parish for all teens of Holy Family. The vision is to make it more of a "home away from home" this year, where youth can do school work, get some social time with their peers, enjoy a snack, and borrow solid Catholic resources from our life teen youth library.
